Practical 3D Scanning of Products. Workshop

About the program

A practical one-day workshop for those who want to confidently scan real-world products—from setting up the workspace and equipment to obtaining a cleaned scan ready for further use. You will go through the full cycle: scanner calibration, scanning and working with basic objects, as well as initial post-processing and file export.

Format:

  • Workshop (primarily hands-on practice)

  • 8 academic hours (1 day)

Level:

  • Basic–Intermediate

Delivery Mode:

  • In-person

Prerequisites:

  • Basic familiarity with 3D scanning (or completion of the «Fundamentals of 3D Scanning» masterclass)

Participants receive a certificate upon completion.

  • Engineering and technical professionals, and anyone who will be scanning real-world parts and products

Final Assessment:

  • Pass/Fail grading

After the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Configure settings and calibrate the scanner

  • Scan parts of varying complexity and capture point clouds

  • Work with targets/markers and align scanned sections

  • Perform initial post-processing of scans and export files
