Practical engineering skills for implementing technologies

The training programs of the Science Park of Additive Technologies Sikorsky Challenge are built on real engineering processes, equipment and R&D experience.

We don’t just teach technologies — we teach how to implement them.

As a member of EDIH Kyiv HiTech, we shape programs that meet the needs of business, engineers and digital transformation.

Basic and Practical Training Formats

We offer practical training programs aimed at developing companies through the implementation of innovative engineering solutions. The main focus is additive technologies, digital manufacturing, process optimization and preparing teams to work in a modern technological environment.

Training is based on real cases, hands-on work with equipment, and experience implementing technologies in manufacturing, R&D and biomedical projects. Courses are led by practicing engineers and experts who work on real business tasks.

Basic Level

An introduction to additive technologies and digital manufacturing for those who want to understand the possibilities of 3D printing and navigate modern engineering solutions.

Advanced Level

In-depth training for companies and engineers planning to implement additive technologies, optimize production and develop new products.

Expert Level

Practice-oriented training focused on a company’s specific tasks: developing custom solutions, testing prototypes, digital reverse engineering and verifying the effectiveness of technologies using the Science Park’s infrastructure.

Fundamentals of 3D Scanning

Masterclass

Want to understand how 3D scanning works and get hands-on experience? In just half a day, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the technology: learn about the types of scanners and their applications, see a live demonstration of the equipment and software, and finally, scan your very first object yourself.

Practical 3D Scanning of Products

Workshop

A practical one-day workshop for those who want to confidently scan real-world products—from setting up the workspace and equipment to obtaining a cleaned scan ready for further use. You will go through the full cycle: scanner calibration, scanning and working with basic objects, as well as initial post-processing and file export.

3D Scanning of Objects

Training Course

An in-depth course for those who want to master 3D scanning technology systematically and thoroughly. You will go through the entire workflow with a 3D scanner: from preparing the object and workspace, setting up and calibrating the equipment, to scanning objects of varying complexity, initial post-processing of the captured scans, and preparing models for downstream use and production. Special attention is given to the specifics of scanning shiny, dark, and large-scale objects.

The course establishes a practical foundation for work in engineering, industrial design, robotics, restoration, medicine, and other fields that utilize additive technologies and digital manufacturing.

Digital Reverse Engineering

Bootcamp

An intensive practical bootcamp for those who want to master the full cycle of digital reverse engineering—from scanning a real product to a production-ready parametric CAD model with geometry control. Throughout the course, participants complete an end-to-end project: scanning a real product, processing the scan, converting it into a CAD model, preparing it for manufacturing, and defending their final work during the evaluation session.

Additive Manufacturing: FDM Printing

Training Course

Looking to master product creation using additive technologies? This course will give you systematic knowledge and practical skills in 3D printing using the most common and accessible technology—Fused Deposition Modeling, or FDM for short.

You will learn about the types and kinematics of 3D printers, learn how to select materials based on technical requirements, master working with software for preparing digital models for printing (slicers), and get hands-on with 3D printing and post-processing of printed parts.

A significant part of the course is dedicated to practice: you will set up the equipment yourself, master 3D printer prep, learn how to monitor the printing process, diagnose and fix print defects, and perform physical and chemical post-processing of final products.

Drafting and Modeling in Autodesk Fusion

Training Course

Looking to turn your own engineering or design concepts into physical products or production-ready objects? This course will teach you the complete development workflow in the modern computer-aided design suite, Autodesk Fusion.

You will master parametric modeling of parts of any complexity and assemblies, designing moving mechanisms, checking their kinematics, and calculating mass and dimensional properties. Additionally, you will learn to create photorealistic renderings of modeled objects, release drafting documentation packages, and prepare products for 3D printing.

The course is practice-oriented, guiding you step-by-step from the initial sketch to the final defense of your own engineering project.
